Uddhav Thackeray will face a floor test on Thursday, and the Sena has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court

The 39 rebel MLAs' homes were also the target of assault, and Eknath Shinde added that it was his duty as the "Constitutional Head" to ensure that the House continued faith in the administration.

    Digital Desk: Governor
Bhagat Singh Koshyari wrote to the Maharashtra Assembly Secretary Rajendra
Bhagwat on Wednesday, June 29, requesting a special session at 11 a.m. Thursday
for the Uddhav Thackeray-led government to demonstrate its majority amid
political unrest within the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance.

    Following this, the Shiv
Sena filed a petition with the Supreme Court challenging Koshyari's decision to
conduct a floor test. The Supreme Court will hear Sena's appeal on Wednesday at
    5 o'clock.

    Eknath Shinde, the head
of the contrary Shiv Sena, announced on Wednesday that he would travel to
Mumbai to take part in a floor test against the struggling Sena-Nationalist
Congress Party-Congress coalition in Maharashtra, which Uddhav Thackeray leads.

    The 39 rebel MLAs' homes
were also the target of assault, and Eknath Shinde added that it was his duty
as the "Constitutional Head" to ensure that the House continued faith
    in the administration.

    The floor test will be
broadcast live on television, and the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat will use an
outside organization to film the events.

    MP and Sena spokesperson
Sanjay Raut speaking to the media, reasoned that the floor test order was
unconstitutional. "This is jet speed activity, and some files have been
lying with the Governor for the past two and a half years. There has been no
progress in those. The Governor was waiting for this moment. It is unlawful
    activity."

    After meeting Koshyari
in Raj Bhavan on Tuesday night and requesting that he call for a floor test in
the Assembly because the Thackeray-led government had lost the majority due to
the Shinde group's uprising, Shinde announced his intention to return to Mumbai
    hours later.

    Shinde continued by
saying that "The Supreme Court is still deliberating on MLA
disqualification." The court had instructed us to maintain the status quo
until July 11 and contact it if any illegal activity was carried out before
that date. The SC will have to step in if the Governor's House conspires with
the BJP and violates the Constitution and the sacredness of the Assembly.

    "We trust the apex
court," "and we will go to the Supreme Court and beg for
    justice." shine added.

    Raut remarked, "I
respect the Governor, and I see that he is under pressure from someone. He
added that Fadnavis had attempted to topple the government since it was
    established."

    While addressing the
media reporters in Guwahati, Shinde said he would reach Mumbai along with all
    his rebel MLAs.

    The Shiv Sena MLA
rebels, who have been camped out in Guwahati for the past week, will probably
fly out this afternoon for Goa before flying on to Mumbai.

    According to people who
know the situation, a SpiceJet plane has been rented, and the flight is scheduled
to depart from Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport for
    Goa's Dabolim airport at around 3 p.m.

    Shinde
claimed to have prayed at the Kamakhya temple for Maharashtrians to live in
peace and prosperity when he left the hotel in Guwahati.
