Karbi Anglong: In an operation by the Karbi Anglong Police, two people were arrested with heroin worth Rs 4 crores at Laharijan under the Bokajan subdivision.
According to reports, a Mahendra Bolero car was tracked down by a Police team of Laharijan Police Patrolling Post (PPP) around 8:30 am on Wednesday.
646 grams of heroin in 50 soap cases were recovered by the Police team.
The accused have been identified as N Gamsei Haokip, and Letkhalal and both are from Manipur.
The Assam Police has seized a huge amount of drugs from different parts of the state in the last few months and the search operation is still on.
