    Assam: IMD Warns of Continued Heatwave Conditions for Next 24 Hours

    West Assam will see maximum temperatures between 35°C and 37°C, with minimum temperatures ranging from 26°C to 28°C.


    Digital Desk: Assam will continue to experience heatwaves over the next 24 hours, with temperatures expected to range between 36°C and 38°C.


    Southern Assam will experience the highest temperatures, reaching up to 38°C. In contrast, West Assam will see maximum temperatures between 35°C and 37°C, with minimum temperatures ranging from 26°C to 28°C.


    Tragically, the ongoing heatwave has resulted in another fatality. Jogen Kalita, a 55-year-old daily wage laborer from Rangia, Kamrup district, passed away due to the extreme heat on Saturday, July 27.


    Despite the intense heat, Kalita continued working throughout the day. Upon returning home in the evening, he felt severely ill and succumbed to the conditions.
