The police have recovered the body of the 32-year-old actress, and an investigation is currently underway. The body was found in her flat located in Lokhandwala on Thursday.
Digital Desk: Noor Malabika Das, an internet personality and TV actress, was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on June 6. Media agencies reported that her neighbour noticed a suspicious smell emanating from her flat and subsequently alerted the authorities. According to an ANI report, it is speculated that the actor may have taken her own life, although this aspect remains unconfirmed by the police.
The police have recovered the body of the 32-year-old actress, and an investigation is currently underway. The body was found in her flat situated in Lokhandwala on Thursday. The Indian Cinema Workers Association has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to initiate an inquiry into the alleged suicide case of Noor Malabika Das.
On Monday, News agency on Monday tweeted, “The body of actress Noor Malabika Das was recovered in a decomposed condition in her house in Andheri, Oshiwara area. Noor Malabika Das died by suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of the house, when the people in the neighbourhood complained of a foul smell coming from the house, they informed the police,The police reached the spot and took the body for postmortem: Mumbai Police (sic).”
Police officials seized various medications, her mobile phone, and her personal diary during the search of her residence. Following the necessary procedures, the deceased's body was transferred to Siddharth Hospital in Goregaon for a post-mortem examination, as stated in the Mid-day report.
Originally hailing from Assam, Das had established herself as a prominent figure in the Hindi entertainment realm as an actress. She graced numerous Hindi films and web series, gaining recognition, particularly for her roles in projects like "Teekhi Chatni," "Siskiyaan," "Walkaman," "Charamsukh," "Jaghanya Upaya," "Dekhi Andekhi," and "Backrod Hustale" available on the Ullu app. Furthermore, she had an upcoming venture titled "The Good Wife" on Amazon Prime, where she was set to star alongside Kajol and Jisshu Sengupta.
