Digital Desk: In a significant move towards curbing illegal arms trade in Assam, the state police, in collaboration with security forces, recently apprehended a former member of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA).

The arrestee has been identified as Dhan Bora on suspicion of arms trafficking.

The arrest unfolded in Doomdooma, Tinsukia district, following a late-night search operation initiated at the Doomdooma bridge based on a tip-off. The operation led the authorities to Bora's residence in Kordoiguri Borgorah, Doomdooma, where he was taken into custody.
