Guwahati: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate one Shatabdi special train connecting New Jalpaiguri-Howrah and added Jan Shatabdi special train to run between Guwahati-Jorhat Town from July 12, 2021.
Both these trains will operate six days a week (excluding Sunday) on the current path, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) announced in a press report.
The NF Railway administration has fixed the timings of 12042/12041 (within New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) and 12067/12068 (within Guwahati – Jorhat Town) for the advantage of travelers.
Train No. 02842 New Jalpaiguri-Howrah Shatabdi special will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 5-30 am to enter Howrah at 1-35 pm on the very day.
Train No. 02067 Guwahati-Jorhat Town Jan Shatabdi special will leave from Guwahati at 6-10 am to reach Jorhat Town at 1 pm on the same day.
The highlights of stoppages and timings of these trains are available on Railway's website and are also being published in several publications and social media applications of NF Railway.
Passengers are requested to look into the details through social media or the official website before planning to move out amid a pandemic.
On entry at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to the controlling health rules of the destination state.
The NF Railway has asked all the travelers to co-operate with the Railway and respective state administration executives in this view.
