Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Manipur and Tripura on Tuesday. PM Modi will be there in these two states to inaugurate multiple projects.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) stated that PM Modi would establish 22 projects worth Rs 4,800 crore in Imphal. In Agartala, he will inaugurate the new integrated terminal establishment at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport and launch two key development initiatives.
In Manipur, PM Modi will inaugurate 13 schemes worth around Rs 1,850 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone of nine projects worth around Rs 2,950 crore. These undertakings connect to diverse sectors, including road infrastructure, drinking water supply, health, urban growth, housing, information technology, skill expansion, and art and culture.
With these initiatives, PM Modi will further lay the foundation stones for constructing five national highway schemes at the expense of more than Rs 1,700 crore.
The structure of these highways with an accumulative distance of over 110 km will significantly enhance road connectivity in the area. Another key scheme that will improve seamless year-round connectivity to Silchar from Imphal and lower traffic congestion is building a steel bridge constructed over Barak river on NH-37 made at the expense of over Rs 75 crore.

The PMO conveyed that Modi's effort to deliver clean drinking water to every home would increase with the state's inauguration of drinking water supply undertakings.
These enclose the Rs 280 crore worth of water transmission approach of the Thoubal multipurpose undertaking. Another scheme constructed at Rs 65 crore will provide safe drinking water to locals of 10 residences of Tamenglong district.
Moreover, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of a cancer hospital in Imphal worth about Rs 160 crore. It has been built on a PPP basis.
Among other undertakings, Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) to be built at the cost of about Rs 200 crore. This project is the largest PPP endeavour in the state and will boost the information technology sector, except creating employment prospects.
In Tripura, Modi will inaugurate the latest integrated terminal structure of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport and launch key endeavours, "Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana and Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Schools".
The PMO stated, "Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana" strives to reach the standard criteria for assistance delivery in core development sectors at the village level.
