Digital Desk: On Monday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the state's people through a press meet in Guwahati. During the press meet, CM Sarma has talked about some of the crucial points.
Assam CM Sarma also highlighted some of the key issues of the state and the steps to be taken to improve the condition. Moreover, Covi-19 related key matters were disclosed during the meeting.
Moreover, it has been notified that there will be no Covid-19 related restrictions in the state from February 15. Therefore, night curfews will be lifted in the state.
Previously, the Assam government has imposed night curfews in the state due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases. However, this was not applicable on the night of December 31, 2021.
The Chief Minister further stated, "Along with other Municipal Board elections in the state, Guwahati Municipal Corporation and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council elections will be held in April'.
Additionally, considering the development of urban areas, all offices are likely to be merged with the DC office, and prisons will be resettled from the municipality's center.

First, from February 15, the state will not consider holding any Covid-19 restrictions.
Students sitting for their HSLC and HS examination are advised to take the vaccination. The exams will be starting from March 2022.
Anyone taking part in large committee gatherings, entering movie halls, malls and other large spaces must be fully vaccinated.
Assam government will provide funding of Rs. 1.5 lakh to all those Bihu committees which are older than 10 years.
People of the state must continue maintaining Covid-19 appropriate behavior, including wearing masks and social distancing.
Assam Chief Minister Sarma also urged all to keep wearing masks. In the meantime, on Sunday, Assam recorded 256 new COVID-19 positive cases taking the caseload to 7,21,380.
