Guwahati: The State BJP executive meeting continued at Amingaon, near Guwahati. Today is the second day of the executive meeting, which started with an opening prayer.
BJP state president Bhabesh Kalita hoisted the party flag and started the program on Wednesday. It was followed by a plantation drive organized by the association.
On the first day, more than 500 working executives from different parts of the state attended the program in their traditional attire.
Addressing the state BJP executive meeting, BJP Assam president Bhabesh Kalita stated, "BJP has now become an umbra tree in Assam. We have formed the government in the state for the second consecutive term. It requires the continual dedication of several executives and their hardwork to expand the umbra tree formed by the party. We are set to expand our number of members to 60 lakhs. For this we have decided to increase the organisational district of the party in the state from 39 to 45".
The second day, the executive meeting took up several political, social, economic, and cultural plans.
Addressing the meeting, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, " MPs who do not listen to the Prime Minister's commandment do not have the moral right to ask for a ticket in the upcoming 2024 elections. Several MPs have not visited the Anganwadi centers after PM Modi asked them to look after the food distribution facilities. I am personally looking into the matter."
Supporting the statement made up by Assam CM Sarma, MP Rameshwar Teli stated, " Being a Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, I have several responsibilities to execute, yet I have visisted two Aganwadi centres of my constituency."
Assam CM Sarma specified that one could leave if one cannot perform their duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
Addressing the attendees, MLA Numal Momin stated," Several positive outcomes could be seen in the state under the governance of BJP government. The socio-economic policy has evolved in the expression of unity. The party and the government is committed towards better growth on the state."
" Assam Cattle-preservation bill 2021 stands out as one of the most landmark decisions taken by the government. The present government has also taken significant decisions in preserving the state's 'caste and land.' During the rule of Congress, the common public suffered the most. During the BJP regime, there has been a situation of top security, deep confidence," said MLA Momin in his speech.
