Bhupen Bora informed the media that a manifesto penned by the Congress and the other opposition parties will be launched on March 20
Digital Desk: As the Lok Sabha elections 2024 loom closer, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president informed a proactive approach by reaching out to the public through a grievance letter. According to the sources, addressing the concerns of the electorate, the letter highlights why voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may not be in the best interest of the state.
He informed the media that a manifesto penned by the Congress and the other opposition parties will be launched on March 20. The manifesto focus shifts towards why supporting the Congress party is crucial for the welfare and progress of Assam.
APCC President Bhupen Bora encouraged the Congress party workers and emphasised the dedication of BJP candidates, even in the face of adversity, with several not receiving tickets despite their seniority and incumbency. Bora himself, despite his position, did not secure a ticket but remains committed to the party's cause.
"BJP will also admit that Congress candidates are leading in Guwahati," stated Bora, underscoring confidence in Congress's electoral prospects. He urged party members to remain united and resolute, assuring that collective efforts would pave the way for success in the upcoming elections.
Highlighting the BJP's apparent nervousness, Bora remarked, "This time, there is talk about three seats in the Congress. The BJP itself has thrown itself among the people. They have come to know that Congress has fielded strong candidates. Otherwise, they wouldn't have discussed our candidates." He further added, "Sure, they're scared. The result will come on television."
