Digital Desk: Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, will look to win the ODI series against Sri Lanka in the second match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
On Tuesday, India defeated Bangladesh by 67 runs at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati. Team India's captain, Rohit Sharma, is back in form. He hit 83 off 67 balls, including nine fours and three sixes. Shubman Gill, his opening partner, scored 70 points from 60 balls, including 11 fours. Virat Kohli, India's greatest run-scorer, hammered 113 from 87 deliveries, including 12 fours and one six.
Sri Lanka will try to recover and draw level in the series to keep it alive.
The second One-Day International (ODI) between India and Sri Lanka will be played on Thursday, January 12 at the historic Eden Gardens. The match will begin at 1.30 p.m. IST and will be broadcast on Star Sports Network and Hotstar. The coin toss will be held at 1 p.m. IST. Pele, the renowned football player who died on December 29, 2022, will be honoured on Thursday at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata during the second One-Day International (ODI) match between India and Sri Lanka.
Pele footage will be broadcast on the Eden Gardens' massive screens during the second match of the current three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka.
The last time India and Sri Lanka clashed at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, skipper Rohit Sharma set a world record with 264 against the Lankans. India scored 404 runs to win the match by 153 runs.
