Digital
Desk: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) maintained their
winning streak by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven runs in the IPL 2023
match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. Rajasthan needed 190 to win and
lost their star opener Jos Buttler for 0 but a good hand from Devdutt Padikkal
and Yashasvi Jaiswal brought their innings back on track. Padikkal perished for
52(34) against David Willey after they amassed 98 runs for the second wicket.
Yashasvi 47(37) and Sanju Samson 22(15) were also dismissed shortly after. Shimron
Hetmyer was run-out for 3(9) after failing to find the big hits, but a late
cameo by Dhruv Jurel kept Rajasthan in the chase. Jurely only got to face the
final delivery with 20 required in the final over, when the match was already
out of RR's hands as they added 182/6 in 20 overs.
