Digital Desk: The Indian senior men's football team jumped to the 100th position in the latest FIFA Men's Football Rankings. The information was shared with fans by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Twitter. "India move up to in the latest FIFA Men's World Ranking Steadily we rise #IndianFootball," tweeted AIFF's official Twitter.
India holds the 100th spot with 1204.90 points in the most recent FIFA Rankings, which were released on June 29.
India recently won their second Intercontinental Cup title after defeating Lebanon 2-0 on June 18 in Bhubaneswar in the title clash.
India will face Lebanon in the semifinals of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship on July 1 in Bengaluru. This competition has previously been won by India eight times: in 1993, 1997, 1999, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2015, and 2021. This is the most successful team in the competition's history.

Notably, Argentina is the top-ranked team, with 1843.73 points, followed by France and Brazil. England climbed one spot to fourth place, while Belgium fell one spot to fifth place. The runner-up in the 2023 UEFA Nations League, Croatia, climbed one spot to sixth place, while the Netherlands dropped to seventh.
Italy (eighth), Portugal (ninth), and 2023 UEFA Nations League winners Spain (10th) have all maintained their spots.
