Digital Desk: Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah sets new records by taking 100 Test wickets overseas. With this new record, the Indian cricket team continue to impress fans with another overseas win ahead of New Year.

Jasprit Bumrah became the fastest bowler to take 100 overseas Test wickets for India. He has become one of the most selective architectures in bringing overseas triumphs for India. 

The 28-year-old player achieved this new record only in 23 matches, which is worth appreciation. Jasprit Bumrah achieved this new record by beating the earlier record set by Bhagwat Chandrasekhar, who reached the milestone in 25 matches.

The list even holds R Ashwin, who achieved the crossroads in 26 Tests. The list of record winners also included Bishan Singh Bedi, Javagal Srinath and Mohammed Shami, who are joint-fourth on the checklist. Shami has taken 28 matches to reach the milestone figure.

Indian Bowler Jasprit Bumrah gained three wickets in South Africa second innings, including the crucial wicket of captain Dean Elgar. He also took two other wickets followed by these.

Bumrah swept up Rassie van der Dussen and Keshav Maharaj in the final few minutes of Day 4 to provide India with an advantage over Proteas. 

Jasprit Bumrah has also contributed to taking India to a height where India could set records. This Indian cricket team has become the first Asian team to win a match in Centurion. With this win, the Virat Kohli-led team has set new records for India.

After the win, captain Virat Kohli praised Bumrah and Co. for their outstanding performance overseas. India has defeated South Africa in Centurion, a land well-known for South African players.

Captain Virat Kohli said, "We believed in our bowling unit to get the job done. We also spoke about it in the change room. Since he didn't bowl much in the first innings, it helped the opposition get those extra runs. Just the way these guys bowl together. It's just a hallmark of our team getting a result from that position."

India moved to Johannesburg to play the second Test, which starts on January 2.
