With a total of 619 wickets in 132 test matches, he is the fourth-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket. Kumble presently serves as the head coach of the Punjab Kings and the director of cricket operations. He also provides commentary for Team India and IPL games.
Kumble, who was born on October 17, 1970, in Banglore, Karnataka, made his first-class debut for the Karnataka Cricket Team when he was 19 years old.
