In a recent interview, Kohli expressed that as an athlete, he acknowledges the finite nature of his career and aims to avoid regrets.

Kohli mentioned that once he retires from cricket, he intends to take an extended break before deciding his next steps. He stated, "Once I am done, I will be gone, you won't see me for a while (smiles). So I want to give it everything I have till the time I play, and that's the only thing that keeps me going."
