5G Is Now Available in India: Delhi Airport Terminal 3 Is 5G-Ready For Passengers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to announce the availability of the network service in India.

Digital Desk: The debut of 5G in India is just a few weeks away, and we can officially confirm that the international airport at Delhi Airport Terminal 3 will be the first 5G-ready airport in India. The Delhi Airport has also stated that 5G services will be available across the country beginning October 1, as has been predicted in recent weeks.

The India Mobile Congress 2022 is also set to begin on October 1. It has been recommended that Prime Minister Modi use the event to announce the availability of 5G services in the country.

Without specifying which telecom operator's 5G network will be available at the terminal, the airport authority has stated that anyone with a 5G-enabled phone will be able to access speedier network services throughout Terminal 3.

Following the 5G spectrum auctions and subsequent allocations to telcos, the Indian Government has been working tirelessly to secure the country's rapid implementation of 5G services.

Last month, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the government expects 5G services to be available in the country by October 12, and that the Centre will ensure that the costs are accessible for consumers.

According to Vaishnaw, installations are underway, and telecom operations are focused on the smooth introduction of 5G services. According to the minister, the government would ensure that 5G plans remain affordable to the general population.

13 cities are probably going to get 5G internet services during the first phase of the service's progressive rollout. Companies like Airtel have already stated that its 4G customers do not require a new SIM card in order to enjoy the 5G services. However, everyone should confirm that their phone can handle the various providers' 5G network bands in India.
