Digital Desk: The much-anticipated Apple iPhone 15 series is expected to be released in a few weeks. As Apple fans eagerly await the series, a few leaks have begun to surface on the Internet, providing big hints about the new iPhone's capabilities ahead of its scheduled September release.
Many rumours have circulated on social media platforms, ranging from its pricing to its features and specifications.
Reportedly, the most recent leak introduces the iPhone 15 battery type, charging components, and the presence of an Apple-designed 3LD3 processor inside the handset.
A few rumoured iPhone 15 Plus images have also gone viral on social media, getting users all excited. Majin Bu, a Twitter user, recently uploaded a few images of the phone's USB C port as well as its self-designed CPU.
Majin Bu revealed the charging components, including the phone's USB C port, in the first set of images.
The user also posted another set of images of the packaged 3LD3 chip. He did not, however, divulge the precise function of the device.
"The packaged chip can be seen on the iPhone 15 series. 3LD3 is the model number. The function cannot be judged from the model because it is a self-designed semiconductor. Based on previous experience with the same type of plastic-packed chips, it could be the transmission encryption setting," he stated.
Additionally, this is not the first time information concerning the phone's USB Type-C connection has been published on social media. Earlier this month, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the iPhone 15 series would contain a USB Type-C connection that would allow for faster charging when used with officially recognised cords.
Unknownz1, another Apple informant, on the other hand, revealed a few insights regarding the next Apple phones. It then revealed the CPU and GPU architecture, clock speeds, and RAM amount and type.
It also revealed that the iPhone 15's 6-core CPU will have two performance cores and four efficiency cores. The device will include 6GB of LPDDR5 DRAM (Low Power Double Data Rate SDRAM).
According to rumours, Apple may have its event on September 13, which makes sense given that the business normally makes its announcement on the second Tuesday (occasionally Wednesday).
As per Apple's history, if the next iPhone lineup is announced on September 13, the smartphone should be available for pre-order on September 15 and maybe for sale on September 22.
