In response to a tweet about the three kids Musk and Grimes have, Musk wrote, "Tau Techno Mechanicus. Circumference/Diameter."
Digital Desk: The names of Elon Musk and Singer Grimes' children have frequently stirred discussion in the past. The internet was flooded with talks on how to pronounce the new baby boy's name when the former couple gave birth to their son, who was named X Æ A-Xii , in May 2020.
Grimes had also gone into great detail regarding her baby boy's name in a tweet. The couple then delivered a daughter named Exa Dark Siderael Musk through surrogacy in December 2021. The public has long thought that the couple was the parents of these two children.
Excerpts from Musk's upcoming biography, however, showed that the couple had also welcomed another kid secretly. Although the baby's age is still unknown, we do know its name. Musk also confirmed it.
Elon Musk and Grimes' third child
According to a story in The New York Times, Elon Musk and Grimes' third child is named Techno Mechanicus.
It added that the child has been nicknamed Tau. According to the New York Times article, Walter Isaason, a journalist, will be penning a biography of Elon Musk. The book will be released on September 12 and a lot has already been written about its contents.
Musk took to Twitter to confirm the name of his youngest child and to explain what it meant when news of his third child with Grimes broke.
In response to a tweet about the three kids Musk and Grimes have, Musk wrote, "Tau Techno Mechanicus. Circumference/Diameter."
A Google search will reveal that Tau, which was first calculated by Archimedes, is effectively the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. In other terms, Tau is equal to twice the number Pi, a fundamental mathematical constant.
Congratulatory remarks flooded the comments section as soon as Musk on Twitter disclosed the complete name.
Grimes on his relationship with Elon Musk
Musk and Grimes started dating in 2018 and dated for roughly three years before splitting up. Grimes described her friendship with the founder of Twitter as "special" in an interview she gave to Wired last month. She added that because she had the opportunity to learn a lot from Musk, the connection had been the "best internship" she had ever had.
She also discussed SpaceX and how it felt to see everything come together. "People don't like talking about Elon, but it was incredible to be right there watching all that SpaceX stuff happen," she said. "That's a master class in leadership and engineering and makes you understand how rare it is to have a leader of that quality."
The two are still friendly, according to Grimes, who described Musk as her "best friend and the love of her life."
