NASA shares photo of Jupiter's Ganymede Moon, the largest moon in solar system

Ganymede is the only moon known to have a magnetic field of its own...

Digital Desk: The largest moon in our solar system, Ganymede, which orbits Jupiter, was recently featured in a NASA photograph. It is said that the moon is larger than the planet Mercury.

Additionally, Ganymede is the only moon known to have a magnetic field of its own, which produces auroras at the poles just like Earth does.

NASA captioned the Instagram post sharing the image of the Ganymede moon, “The textured landscape of Ganymede is on full display in this enhanced image taken by the @NASASolarSystem spacecraft Juno from just 645 miles (1,038 km) over the surface of the moon…”
