Digital Desk: A set of identical twins in Australia, who are known to do everything together—from dressing the same to going to the bathroom—are now trying to conceive at the same time.
Perth residents Anna and Lucy Decinque, who are both 37, went viral in 2021 for planning to synchronize their pregnancies—an unusual attempt involving the same man, Ben Byrne, who is their shared fiancee.
Being identical twins is a unique way to experience the world, as siblings are dressed the same by their parents and are frequently mistaken for one another.
However, Anna and Lucy already revealed to the New York Post how they plan to take their relationship to the next level.
"'When she goes to the toilet, I accompany her; when she showers, I go with her,' Anna said.
"You name it, we'll do it. We're never apart. I don't think we'd be able to survive without each other. Separation anxiety haunts us. We are bound to one another," she added.
The inseparable twins have been a mainstay on TLC's "Extreme Sisters," which recently premiered its second season.
In addition to exploring the throuple's unusual dynamic, the TV show documented the sisters opening up about their fertility journey.
"We learned on the internet that when your temperature rises, you're ovulating," Lucy said in one of the previous Extreme Sisters episodes.
The twins then took their temperatures and said, "We're three degrees higher!" We are exactly the same; we are both ovulating."
In the latest episode, "Wombmates," they decided to practice being Moms to what would be half-siblings and first cousins by looking for baby dolls —who dress identically of course.
"We've decided we want babies now," Anna and Lucy stated. "We've had some problems trying to get pregnant, so this [the baby dolls] is the next best thing."
"Our dream is to become pregnant at the same time," Anna and Lucy said.
