Digital Desk: North India is currently experiencing a severe cold wave, with temperatures ranging from 3 to 7 degrees Celsius.
Dense fog has limited visibility and hampered rail, road, and aviation transportation in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan.
Even though the chilly weather has disrupted normal life, some people appear to be unfazed by it. Consider the following man's situation.
A video published on Twitter shows the man doing his job, which is to take a bath in frigid water on behalf of devotees.
In exchange for Rs 10 from each devotee, the man offers to take a holy bath in cold water.
The viral video shows the man perched atop a railing in the river, telling devotees that he will swim for them.
"Brothers and sisters, if you don't want to dip, tell me your name, obtain a Rs 10 receipt, and I will dip on your behalf," the man is heard saying.
After being shared by a user called Ashutosh V Shukla, the video has received over 71,000 views. He captioned it, "Naya Rozgar (New Job)".
The timing and location of the video's filming have yet to be announced. The offer received varied reactions from netizens.
As one user put it, "Dip in the freezing cold for ten rupees. You will obtain virtue. Excellent service... It is possible that the government will not tax it."
"Some folks will ask for a rate reduction in this as well," remarked another.
