Digital Desk: As the grand opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22, 2024, draws near, a significant event is unfolding across the United States.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), US chapter, in collaboration with the Hindu American community, has arranged the exhibition of over 40 big billboards in more than 10 states.

Celebrating the upcoming 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony—a significant event for believers all around the world—these billboards show images of Lord Ram and the magnificent Ram Temple.

Texas, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia are among the states that have participated in this visual celebration; Arizona and Missouri will follow suit on January 15. This project is an expression of the happiness and excitement that Hindu Americans feel as they get ready to participate in the consecration ceremony from thousands of miles away.

Before the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, the Hindu American community has arranged car rallies and other events in addition to the billboards. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ceremonial installation of the idol of Shri Ram Lalla within the temple's sanctum sanctorum on the auspicious day.

Situated in the Uttar Pradesh town of Ayodhya, the temple complex encompasses over 70 acres and measures 54,700 square feet, with nearly 2.7 acres of land devoted to the temple. It can hold up to a million devotees at a time according to its design. The six lesser temples that surround the main temple were almost finished as of December 2023; completion is scheduled for January 22, 2024.

Beyond the borders of the US, the Mauritian government gave Hindu public servants a two-hour special leave on January 22 so they could participate in local celebrations honoring the temple's inauguration.

In addition to marking a significant milestone in terms of culture and religion, the billboard show and the international involvement in the temple's opening symbolize the deep ties that the Hindu diaspora has to their spiritual heritage.
