Britain to continue trade talks with India despite 'serious allegations'
"Trade negotiations will proceed as usual. I'm not going to interfere with the Canadian authorities' work at this point," the spokeswoman told reporters.

Digital Desk: The spokeswoman for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated on Tuesday that Britain will continue trade talks with India despite Ottawa's allegations that the Indian government was involved in the killing of a Sikh terrorist in Canada.

The official reaffirmed that Britain was in contact with Canada on the "serious allegations," but added that it would not affect negotiations for a trade agreement with India.

"Trade negotiations will proceed as usual. I'm not going to interfere with the Canadian authorities' work at this point," the spokeswoman told reporters.

"When we have concerns about nations with which we are negotiating trade agreements, we will raise them with the government in question directly. In contrast, the discussions we are doing with India right now are about a trade agreement, and we are not trying to mix them up with various other issues."
