Digital Desk: Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk recently delighted his followers by sharing a poem composed by an artificial intelligence (AI) tool named Grok, developed by his company xAI. The poem, which began with the line "In love, we find a universe aglow, a cosmic dance of hearts that ebb and flow," was shared via a picture posted by Musk on his social media accounts.

Earlier, Musk had announced a forthcoming feature on X (formerly Twitter), where a "Grok, Analysis!" button would be introduced beneath posts. This move follows Musk's acquisition of the platform for a staggering $44 billion in October 2022.

Users quickly responded to Musk's post, sharing their experiences with various AI tools. One user presented an interpretation of Grok's poem generated by Midjourney, an image-creating AI tool. Comments flooded in, with users expressing their awe and curiosity about the potential of AI-generated content.

Musk, who had recently introduced Grok as a challenge to OpenAI's ChatGPT, claimed that the prototype was superior to ChatGPT 3.5 across multiple benchmarks. Grok, described by Musk as having a penchant for sarcasm, can access X in real-time and is exclusive to the platform's premium subscribers.

The billionaire entrepreneur initiated xAI in July, assembling a team of researchers from OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Tesla, and the University of Toronto. The burgeoning field of generative AI has become a battleground for tech giants like Microsoft, Google, Meta, and startups like Anthropic and Stability AI since the advent of OpenAI's ChatGPT a year ago. Musk's foray into AI showcases the industry's relentless pursuit of innovation and superiority in the realm of artificial intelligence.
