Digital Desk: A teen child in North Carolina, United States, was caught red-handed having sex with his teacher in a car parked inside a park, much to his mother's chagrin.
The mother had grown concerned amid allegations about their illicit relationship, especially when the son's location was not traced at rugby practice as arranged.
The mother then resorted to utilising the Life360 tracking software to locate her son, only to discover him having sex with his 26-year-old high school instructor in a car.
The parent had loaded Life360, a 2008 programme that provides a location-based service to track his travels.
The mother was taken aback by her son's whereabouts and his absence from a sports practice session, so she physically went to the spot, which was a park.
According to the app, he was loitering in a local park when the mother allegedly saw her 18-year-old son in a precarious scenario with his high school teacher, Gabriela Cartaya Neufeld, in her car. She was a teacher at South Mecklenburg High School.
The teacher was taken away by US officials shortly after the mother caught them in the act and reported them to the authorities. Cartaya Neufeld is now facing five criminal counts for "sexual activity with a student by a teacher."
According to court documents, Cartaya Neufeld and the adolescent student had sex at least five times since October, but no more than 100 times. The claimed contacts took place in locations such as the student's mother's home, an automobile, and Cartaya Neufeld's home.
Cartaya Neufeld is mentioned as a science teacher for grades 9 through 12. According to reports, the couple had previously been investigated by school authorities for their suspected connection and were under investigation.
