    PM Modi's visit to Kuwait will boost bilateral ties : MEA

    Digital Desk : The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi  to embark on a 2 day visit to Kuwait. He will be visiting the country at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

    This two day visit will strengthen the bilateral ties between India and Kuwait. He is the second Indian Prime Minister to visit Kuwait after Indira Gandhi. She visited Kuwait in 1981 when she was the prime minister of India. During PM Modi's visit on 21-22 December, 2024 he will be
    discussing on several topics including politics, trade, culture, history, investment, diaspora etc. with the leadership of Kuwait. He will also interact with the Indian Community in Kuwait. The event will have around 5000 attendees.

    MEA said that both the countries share traditionally close and friendly relations which are rooted in history and have been underpinned by economic and strong people to people linkages. India is among the top trading partners of Kuwait. The Indian community is the largest expatriate community in Kuwait. 

    PM Modi has visited several West Asian countries since he took charge of his position as prime minister. He had travelled to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Israel, Bahrain among others.
