    Digital Desk: The central government has established a 24-hour helpline to aid Indian students stranded in Ukraine after Russia declared war against Ukraine. In Delhi, a 24-hour control room has been established, with the following helpline numbers:

    Moreover, an advisory to Indian people stranded in Ukraine was also issued by the Indian Embassy in Kyiv. According to the report, the timetable of special flights has been cancelled as Ukraine's airspace has been closed.

    It further stated that alternative arrangements were being established and that information would be distributed soon so that the Indians could be transferred to the country's western region.

    According to a ministry source, the MEA focuses on the protection and safety of Indians in Ukraine, particularly students. Due to the closure of Ukrainian airspace, alternative evacuation routes are being implemented.

    Sources quoted that the Ministry of External Affairs' control room is being extended and made open 24 hours a day to deal with the crisis.

    The Indian Embassy in Ukraine has urged the Indians in Ukraine not to travel to Kyiv. After Russia started a full-fledged incursion into Ukraine on Thursday, they recommended them to stay put in safe regions.
