Digital Desk: The Afghansitans’ acting government has decided to reopen Public Universities that were shut down since the hardline group, Taliban took charge of the Country.
Shaikh Abdul Baqi Haqqani, Higher Education Minister informed the press about the decision taken by the government to reopen Public Universities on Sunday, though there were no definite words on whether female students would be able to return.
According to the minister, Universities that are located in warmer provinces will reopen from February 2, 2022, while in colder areas would reopen on February 26, 2022.

Taliban officials once informed that women could be taught in separate classes if one wish to.
So far, the Taliban government has reopened high schools for boys only in most parts of the country. Some private universities have reopened, but in many cases, female students have not been able to return to class.
Western governments have made education for female students a part of their demands as the Taliban seek more foreign aid and the unfreezing of overseas assets.
The hardline group took over the country on Aug. 15 as foreign forces withdrew.
