    Three IAF evacuation planes with 628 Indians land at Hindon Airbase

    The IAF's third evacuation flight from Rzeszow landed at the airbase shortly after the second, with 208 Indians on board


    Digital Desk: According to authorities, three IAF evacuation planes carrying 628 Indians from the Romanian capital of Bucharest, Hungary's Budapest, and the Polish city of Rzeszow landed at the Hindon airfield here in the early hours of Thursday.

    The Indian Air Force's first aircraft from Bucharest arrived around 1.30 a.m., and Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt greeted them at the airfield, they said.

    According to reports, all three IAF evacuation planes missions were performed using C-17 military cargo aircraft.

    India has been evacuating its residents through chartered planes from Ukraine's western neighbours such as Romania, Hungary, and Poland since February 24 because to the Russian military incursion.

    According to reports, the IAF's second evacuation flight from Budapest landed at the Hindon airfield on Thursday morning.

    The IAF's third evacuation flight from Rzeszow landed at the airbase shortly after the second, with 208 Indians on board, they observed, adding that the fourth flight is due later in the morning.

    Four Union ministers have travelled to Ukraine's western neighbours to help Indian nationals flee.
