Russian President Vladimir Putin Surrounded by Doctors Round the Clock: Reports

According to reports by former government intelligence official Christopher Steele, Putin's meetings are divided into sections so that the President can rest.

Digital Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin is constantly accompanied by doctors and often takes breaks during meetings for treatment, a British spy reported.

According to reports by former government intelligence official Christopher Steele, Putin's meetings are divided into sections so that the President can rest.

He added that the exact details of Putin's illness are yet unknown.

The former spy wrote a dossier on Donald Trump and alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US election campaign and previously worked at the Russia desk at MI6.

Moreover, Steele's comments have been attributed to LBC Radio.

He said, "Meetings of the security council that is shown to last for a whole hour supposedly are broken up into several sections and between the breaks, he goes out and receives some kind of medical treatment."

Steele added that Putin is seriously ill, but how terminal or incurable is not clear. However, they can't be entirely sure, but it's certainly having a very serious impact on the governance of Russia at the moment.

LBC Radio quoted Steele as saying that Putin is trying to avoid showing weakness in the Kremlin, which he described as "a bit like a shark pool."

"The Russian Kremlin is a bit like a shark pool, they all swim round and if they smell blood in the water or taste blood in the water, they start fighting," he said.

The latest remarks come as concern grows over Russian President Vladimir Putin's health, with an anonymous tycoon reportedly saying Putin is "extremely ill with blood cancer."

The anonymous billionaire was heard discussing Putin's health with a Western venture capitalist in a recording obtained by the US magazine New Lines.

According to an Express report published on Wednesday, Putin recently underwent surgery to drain fluid from his belly. The operation "went well and without issues," according to the report, which credited the information to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Telegram channel, General SVR.
