This is the most extensive US military operation in the Middle East since Trump's return as US President in January.
Digital Desk: At least 31 people were killed and more than 100 injured, mostly women and children, after the United States launched large-scale military strikes on Yemen's Houthis on Saturday. US President Donald Trump warned Iran-aligned Houthis that "their time is up" and threatened the military organisation to stop its actions, or else "hell will rain down" on them.
President Trump also issued a harsh warning to Iran for backing Houthis. He said that Iran should stop supporting the terrorist organisation immediately. He added that if these terrorists threaten the American people, then "America will hold Iran fully accountable."
Trump on his Truth Social platform said, "To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON'T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!"
Addressing Iran, President Trump said, "Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! DO NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable and, we won't be nice about it!"
This is the most extensive US military operation in the Middle East since Trump's return as US President in January.
Describing the attacks as a "war crime", the Houthis released a statement, "Our Yemeni armed forces are fully prepared to respond to escalation with escalation."
