Spirits were high as Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his campaign speech by making his audience chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Matarm’ with him. PM Modi started his campaign in Purulia District of West Bengal at 11 am today.
The PM also shed light to the water crisis in Purulia District and ensured the people that the BJP government will solve such crisis and ensure development in West Bengal. He went on to say ‘Is baar bhoy nahi sirf joy’ which means this time there will be no fear, only joy.
He also took a dig at Bengal CM, Mamta Banerjee’s All India Trinamool Congress Party saying that TMC stood for ‘Transfer My Commission.’ He went on to say that the people of West Bengal will punish Mamta Banerjee for 10 years of incompetence and negligence.
Modi will continue campaigning and will visit Karimganj District in Assam at 3 pm today.
