Keeping the Tiranga flying high: ITBP Jawans celebrate I-day at 17,000 feet in Ladakh

New Delhi: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans on Saturday celebrated the 74th Independence Day by unfurling the Tricolour at the height of 17,000 feet in Ladakh. The jawans carried the Indian flag at various strategic locations along the border.

The Indian soldiers celebrated the big day at different locations in Ladakh. In one of the videos, they could be seen raising the Tricolour at the banks of Pang Tso lake.

The CAPF released a video on social media where soldiers can be seen singing patriotic songs. The mashup videos of soldiers singing have been posted on ITBP’s social media handles.

Meanwhile, the ITBP has recommended the names of its 21 personnel for gallantry medals for fighting along with the Army in keeping the Chinese troops at bay, especially amid the ongoing border stand-off between the two countries
