Guwahati: KMSS (Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti) along with 70 other organizations mulling plans to float a new political outfit within September as announced in a media presser on Sunday.
This comes after KMSS failed to gain support from the AASU, AJYCP and newly-formed Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) in the formation of a common platform. It may be mentioned here that the KMSS had earlier set September 20 as the deadline for the AASU, AJYCP and AJP to come on board to form a united regional political force.
It may be mentioned here that KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi recently said that without unification of regional forces, it would impossible to defeat the ruling BJP government in the state. Thus all organizations and regional parties should come under one umbrella and keep the CAA movement alive.
