Digital Desk: India is a treasure house of natural beauty that never ceases to amaze the adventurer's soul. There is always some undiscovered beauty buried in places so remote that one cannot even begin to imagine its breathtaking scenery, huge snow-capped mountains, fresh flowing rivers and lakes, beautiful villages, and massive waterfalls. This is what differentiates it as a wonderland.

If you've had enough of mountains and plains, it's time to explore seaside routes. Coastal roads provide a variety of visual attractions for the travel junkie who can never get enough of nature's magnificence. Coastal roads offer a certain beauty, and there are so many boulevards running parallel to bodies of water that you'd want to visit and enjoy the sunrise and sunset even if you're stuck in traffic.

Here are five beautiful coastal roads you must tour for a long weekend journey:

1| Mumbai's Marine Drive - Marine Drive, located in the southern section of Mumbai, Maharashtra, is one of the country's most iconic tourist destinations. Not only is it frequented by hundreds of people every day, but it has also appeared in several Bollywood films.

Marine Drive, which was built by philanthropist Pallonji Mistry and Bhagojisheth Keer, overlooks the Arabian Sea and runs in a 'C' shape from Babulnath to Nariman Point. Chowpatty Beach is located at the northern end of the road. You may walk around the area and sample the local cuisine while surrounded by palm palms.

2| Dhanushkodi Beach Road located in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu - Dhanushkodi Beach is located on Rameswaram Island in the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. The path connecting to the beach, on the other hand, is one of the most gorgeous sites.

Dhanushkodi is an abandoned settlement on the island's southern coast with a fascinating narrative to tell. A typhoon devastated the town in 1964, destroying its infrastructure. It is roughly 620 kilometres from Bangalore and is currently regarded as a ghost town. The Ram Setu viewpoint, also known as Adam's Bridge, is one of the primary attractions here.

3| Puri-Konark Marine Drive in Odisha - This roadway in Odisha connects Puri to Konark and features a picturesque landscape along the way and also known as the Konark Marine Drive.

Golden sands run parallel to the road for around 2.27 kilometres. On the route, you can admire gorgeous temples and have a wonderful trip. It is thought to be one of India's best-kept secrets.

4|Eastern Coast Road in Chennai - The East Coastal Road (ECR) is a gorgeous state road that connects Cuddalore to Chennai through Pondicherry. There are various temples and lovely sceneries over the entire journey.

Consider this location to be the ideal mood booster if you simply wish to take a nice long drive. Along the ECR, there are various activities available, including paragliding and surfing.

5| Pondicherry's Beach Road - Another beach road offers a spectacular morning vista! The Beach Road in Pondicherry features magnificent glimpses of French architecture and is a great spot to relax and recharge.

You may also watch the sunset from several of the cafes here.
