Digital Desk: As the number of coronavirus cases rises across the country, it's more important than ever to take care of our health, and Yoga could be one way to do so. Anshuka, a celebrity yoga teacher who has worked with Bollywood stars such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Ananya Panday, has posted her comprehensive yoga guide and asanas for Covid-19 recovery and immunity-boosting on Instagram.
Simple stretches, breathing exercises, and certain asanas are included in Anshuka's Yoga for the immunity-building programme. However, as Anshuka warns, one should always visit their doctor and check for contraindications before beginning any type of Yoga practice.

Pranayama: It is an easy way to get started with breathing exercises. Anshuka demonstrated some easy breathwork pranayama exercises that she claims are "quick and effective" and would "increase lung capacity and immunity." Start with exercises like Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, and Bhastrika. "Breathing exercises, if done correctly, help in expanding lung capacity, aiding in better oxygenation and carbon dioxide exhalation," Anushka claims.
Belly Breathing: Belly Breathing is another breathing method that might help lessen the body's stress reaction. Anshuka demonstrated this breathing method in an Instagram photo she uploaded in 2020. Rakul Preet Singh, an actress, was also featured in the film, and she demonstrated how to practise belly breathing. It's important to remember not to strain or struggle while breathing when using this technique. Anshuka advises, "Increase counts as and when you believe you can improve."
Sama Vritti and Box Breathing: The Sama Vritti breathing technique creates an equal ratio for inhalation and exhalation. Box Breathing requires inhaling for 4 to 5 counts, holding for 4 to 5 counts, exhaling for 4 to 5 counts, and finally holding the breath for 4 to 5 counts.
Stretches and Asanas: The celebrity yoga trainer also provided several stretches and yoga asanas to help people recover from COVID-19 or boost their immunity. Cat/Cow pose, Butterfly pose, Seated Pigeon pose, Side Stretch, and Wind Release stance were among the asanas.
Stress-relieving asanas: If being isolated at home is making you feel stressed, try these asanas. Anshuka recommends five asanas: Anjaneyasana (Low Lunge), Sukhasana (Seated Pose), Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose), Uttana Shishosana (Puppy Pose), Malasana (Garland Pose), and Gomukhasana (Cow Pose).
The Asanas for Covid-19 recovery shared by the celebrity yoga trainer are very effective. If followed correctly, it would help provide relief to the covid patients and others working towards building their immunity.
