Digital Desk: The toilet is an essential part of any construction, and its location and position hold great importance. A toilet is a place of disposal; therefore, it flushes out the effects of the space in which it is located. The toilet should be avoided in the northeast direction because it causes serious health problems such as memory loss, paralysis, and even cancer. Mahavastu expert, Acharya Shivani Gupta provides tips on where to locate toilets at home. 

A toilet in the East decreases one's social circle, and those in politics should avoid them at all costs. A toilet in the Southwest harms the stability of a relationship. In the West, it flushes out your gains and you don't get the results you were hoping for from your efforts. In the North, it gives birth to career-related concerns and flushes out fresh opportunities in one's life.

You must be thinking that since it's considered improper everywhere, one should not have any toilet seats in their house? No, there are a few Vastu Shastra-recommended directions for placing a toilet seat to achieve good results. South of South West (SSW) zone is a natural zone of disposal; placing a toilet seat here removes whatever is waste for you or in your life. It is therefore the ideal place for a toilet seat.

In East of South East (ESE) it reduces anxiety and reduces over-analytical tendencies. In the West, if North West, it aids in the release of blocked feelings from the minds of those who live in such houses. But, as we all know, in today's world of high-rise buildings and already built-up floors, having one or two toilets in the improper zones is obvious.

In this situation, if relocation or renovation is not an option, we may simply mitigate the bad effects by placing metal strips around the WC according to zones or utilizing elemental colour strips except in the Northeast zone. The rest of the zones can be taken care of using simple remedies.
