Digital Desk: Samantha Ruth Prabhu just travelled to Bali for a vacation to focus on her health. The actress has been battling an auto-immune illness known as Myositis and is currently on the mend.

Samantha recently published a video of herself taking an ice bath on her Instagram feed. For those who are unfamiliar, ice baths are considered to be excellent in easing tight muscles and inflammation.

Samantha shared a taste of her ice bath experience with her Instagram followers on July 25 via her Instagram Stories. The video shows her sitting peacefully in four-degree ice water for six minutes with her eyes closed.

Here are some points telling about how Ice Bath helps:

Lower inflammation: Immersion in cold water helps to reduce inflammation in muscles and joints, which aids in post-exercise recovery and injury rehabilitation.

muscle soreness ease: Ice baths relieve muscle soreness by increasing blood flow and clearing away metabolic waste products.

Faster healing: Immersion in cold water constricts blood vessels and encourages enhanced blood flow after departing the bath, speeding the body's healing process.

Improved circulatory system: Ice baths cause vasoconstriction followed by vasodilation, which improves blood circulation and oxygen supply to tissues.

Anxiety diminution: Immersion in cold water can cause the release of stress-response proteins, increasing relaxation and lowering overall stress levels.

Injury safeguarding: Because ice baths reduce inflammation and promote muscle repair, they may help to prevent overuse injuries.

Control in Temperature: Ice baths can efficiently reduce body temperature after intense exertion or hot exposure, reducing overheating.

Samantha just announced that she will step away from acting for a year to focus on her health and seek treatment for the autoimmune disease myositis.

In terms of her work life, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will next be seen in the romance drama "Kushi" alongside Vijay Deverakonda. The romantic Telugu film will be launched on September 1. Samantha will also be seen with co-star Varun Dhawan in the Indian adaption of 'Citadel' in an action-packed part.
