    Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua crowned Miss Universe 2023
    The first-ever Miss Universe winner from Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, shone in an ornate gown for the competition.

    Digital Desk: In a spectacular event conducted on November 19 at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua was declared the winner of the Miss Universe 2023 title (according to IST). As the audience cheered for the winner, Miss Universe 2022, R'Bonney Gabriel of the USA, crowned her on stage.

    The first-ever Miss Universe winner from Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, shone in an ornate gown for the competition.

    At the beauty pageant, Thailand's Anntonia Porsild placed first runner-up, while Australia's Moraya Wilson finished second.

    The Indian representative for Miss Universe 2023 this year was Shweta Sharda, who was born in Chandigarh. She reached the final twenty spots. Another country making its Miss Universe debut this year was Pakistan.

    Participants from 84 different nations and territories competed in this year's 72nd Miss Universe competition. Aside from American TV presenter Maria Menounos, the contest was held by American television personality Jeannie Mai and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo.
