    Well, the true meaning is Saffron milk is traditionally said to offer sweetness to a marriage when it is first sipped together. But there is also a scientific basis for this common practice.

    A Hindu rite known as Kama Sutra encourages the use of milk as a representation of passion and endurance during sexual engagement. It is used to enhance the enjoyment of the couple's first date by adding ingredients like fennel juice, honey, sugar, turmeric, and pepper to the glass of milk.

    According to ancient Indian literature, it is customary to serve newlyweds milk that has been enhanced with saffron and almonds on their wedding night.

    During the wedding ceremonies, the couple is given milk, saffron, and crushed almonds to restore their energy by giving their bodies more protein. This combo is referred to be an aphrodisiac, which implies that when consumed, it increases our desire for sex and gives us a quick jolt of vitality. 

    Moreover, Saffron is a potent aphrodisiac, and mixing it with milk that is high in serotonin makes newlyweds feel more energised and less tense and it also has antioxidant properties that assist elevate mood, reduce concerns about mental health, and combating depression.
