When love is lost, the ties break, and we move farther and farther apart.
Digital Desk: Gravity is like the bond of love- that attracts, that pulls, that bonds.
When love is lost, the ties break, and we move farther and farther apart.
So do objects drift apart in space when the force of gravity weakens.
Initially, it takes a lot of force build-up to bring about that break.
But once the break is achieved and the ties of gravity cut loose, the break becomes progressively easier till there is no sign of any bond whatsoever.
Science (gravity) and soft mushy feeling of love coalesce in this model.
Have you heard of the raisin bread theory of the expanding universe?
The theory says that if you place raisins on dough that you are preparing for bread, the raisins scoot apart as the bread begins to rise.
The raisins which are farther away from the centre of the dough are seen to move away at a higher speed as compared to those that were placed nearer the centre. The interesting fact is that raisins don’t move by themselves. It is the rising of the dough that takes them apart.
Applying this phenomenon to life we see that the environment is an active and potent force in the way our relationships pan out.
When we keep space between us and others, it is all very well to an extent.
But if we increase the space then the environment actively works to get us farther away, like the rising dough pushing the raisins apart, at a proportionate rate to their initial distance.
It’s almost like the universe conspiring to fulfill our need for space!
The above analogy shaped up during a casual tête-à- tête with my son. He was speaking of multiverse theories. I tried to find the human connection.
And Voilà! we together came up with some serious food for thought!
What do you think?
