Desk: It's important to treat yourself sometimes if you want to be relaxed,
happy, and healthy. You must also take good care of and nurture your feet, just
like you would your face, hair, and nutrition. What could be more relaxing than
a relaxing pedicure once every two weeks or once a month to not only makes your
feet look healthy and clean but also tord off all the fatigue?
How
eagerly we anticipate those relaxing pedicures! According to a recent Instagram
post by dermatologist Dr. Gurveen Waraich, "one hour of total
relaxation."
The dermatologist advises that you bear a few important suggestions in mind
before scheduling your next pedicure visit.
· She recommended not to ever having your nails
cut too short or in a curve. "That might lead to ingrown nails, which are
a very painful ailment. Cut them straight instead, then have them filed.
·
Keep in mind not to trim your cuticles. She suggested
using a cuticle pusher to push them back instead. "Make applying cuticle
oil a daily ritual. Use castor oil if you don't have anything fancy. She
continued, saying, "Our cuticle is our defence against nail infections,
therefore it is equally effective.
· Always use a base coat, the expert suggested. Applying
nail paint directly is not advised. Your nails may get permanently stained as a
result, she warned.
·
Last but not least, avoid having your corns and calluses
treated by a pedicurist. "That might be a wart that needs to be seen by a
professional. Finding the underlying reason and treating it appropriately are
crucial, Dr. Waraich stressed.
