Aizwal: The Mizoram government on Wednesday sent a letter to the Union Home Secretary appealing involvement in the issue of economic blockade in the Barak Valley following the terrorizing clash in the Assam-Meghalaya border, killing six Assam Police personnel, one civilian, and injuring more than 65 police personnel including an SP on Monday.
In the letter to Union Home Secretary, Home Secretary of Mizoram Lalbiaksangi wrote, “The National Highway 306, that connects Mizoram with the rest of the states blocked by Assam since July 16, it has badly affected the normal lives of the people of the State.”
