MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi suspended from Assam Legislative Assembly

Guwahati: On the very first day of the autumn session of Assam Legislative Assembly, Congress MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi was suspended from the house.

The Mariani MLA was suspended from the Assembly for creating ruckus in the House over Assam Accord’s Clause 6 report. The MLA had raised the issue of Assam Accord’s Clause 6 Report demanding answers for the lackadaisical attitude of the government and not heeding towards the issues of the Assamese people.

The MLA said, “BJP has violated all norms of the Assam Accord and the sixth clause has not been implemented yet.” He further asserted. “The Home Minister Amit Shah did not accept the Sixth Clause report from Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal”.
