Amit Shah virtually inaugurates Mata Sharda Devi Shrine near LoC Kashmir

Digital Desk: On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurated the Mata Sharda Devi shrine near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Karnah sector. The repeal of Article 370 is returning the Union Territory to its historic customs and culture, according to Amit Shah.

He saw the temple's opening as the start of a new dawn and a quest to resurrect Sharda culture.

"Whenever I go to Jammu and Kashmir, I always start by bowing at the Mata Sharda Devi temple," he says.

The Union Home Minister stated that the Centre will make every attempt to open Sharda Peeth across the LoC along the lines of the Kartarpur corridor.

"Peace has been built in Kashmir due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts, and it has taken the valley and Jammu back to its historical traditions, culture, and Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb," Amit Shah added.

The Union minister also extended gratitude to all members of the civil society led by Pandita on both sides of the PoK and in Jammu and Kashmir for the temple opening in the Kupwara district.

The historic temple and its centre are being renovated in order to restart the centuries-old pilgrimage to Sharda Peeth temple in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Sharada Peeth is the Kashmiri term for the goddess Saraswati. It was one of the most important ancient universities on the Indian subcontinent.
