    Burqa wearing woman threw petrol bomb at CRPF bunker at Sopore

    Police have identified a woman in a burqa who threw a petrol bomb at a CRPF bunker in Sopore, and Kashmir's IG Vijay Kumar has stated that she will be apprehended soon.


    Digital Desk: On Tuesday evening, a burqa-wearing woman threw a petrol bomb at a CRPF Naka in Sopore, Baramulla district, North Kashmir. This suspicious woman has been identified. According to the information received, this woman has a connection to Lashkar-e-Taiba.

    In a statement, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar stated that the woman had been identified and a search operation is underway to apprehend her. According to the IGP, she would be arrested soon. According to sources, the woman who attacked the CRPF bunker is a Lashkar-e-Taiba ground worker against whom numerous criminal cases have already been filed.

    According to sources, the lady who invaded the CRPF bunker while wearing a burqa is a Lashkar-e-Taiba overground worker linked to several criminal instances in the past. The duo, police, and security forces are working jointly to apprehend the convict.

    The incident was caught on CCTV camera around 7:12 pm on Tuesday; in the video, we can see that the woman lit a bag full of petrol and threw it toward the CRPF Bunker.

    Meanwhile, two terrorists from the outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) — former journalist Rayees Ahmad Bhat and C category terrorist Hilal Ah Rah – were executed in an encounter in Srinagar's Rainawari area today. 

    According to the Kashmir Zone Police, One of the executed terrorists carried a media identity card (ID).

    Rayees Ahmad Bhat used to be a journalist who ran the 'Valley News Service's online news portal in Anantnag.

    "In 2021, Bhat had terrorist ranks. Two terror-related FIRs have already been filed against him, according to the police.

    Hilal Ah Rah of Bijbehara, a terrorist classed as a 'C,' was the second terrorist killed in the confrontation.

    The two terrorists killed in the encounter, according to IGP Vijay Kumar, were involved in various recent terror incidents, including the murdering of innocent civilians.
