    Clubhouse case: Police arrested 3 for making derogatory remarks against women 
    Digital Desk: The Clubhouse case is making sensations among citizens after three has been arrested in connection with the app. Cyber Cell unit of the Mumbai crime branch arrested three individuals for making derogatory remarks against women in the Clubhouse app. 

    Mumbai police arrested these three individuals from Haryana. These arrested individuals allegedly made abusive remarks upon a chat in the Clubhouse app.

    A complaint was filed by a lady in Mumbai police station regarding the concern. On taking the note, the cyber cell registered a case against the three accused.

    As per reports, three arrested has been identified as Akash, Jeshnav Kakkar and Yash Parashar. All three of these were booked under sections 153(a), 295(a), 354(a), 354(d) of IPC, and section 67 of Information Technology Act 2000. 

    "We have registered a case against a vulgar Clubhouse app chat and arrested one person from Karnal, Haryana and is taken to 3 days SIT remand. 2 other accused are picked up from Faridabad, and the process for their transit remand is in progress," Milind Bharambe, Joint CP Crime, stated.

    Bharambe further stated that two clubhouse chat groups were created this month. He also said that other participants in the group were also involved in making derogatory remarks on women. The chats also included discussion upon auctioning women body parts.

    On the arrests of three individuals associated with the crime, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted a commendable note to Mumbai police. 

    The tweet read, "Kudos @MumbaiPolice, they have got cracking on the Clubhouse chats too, and some arrests have been made. Say no to hate. #Clubhouse."

    Moreover, a two-minute clip of a chat was also shared over Twitter. During the clip, it could be witnessed that participants were heard discussing Muslim women under the topic 'Muslim Gals are more beautiful than Hindu Gals.'

    After the public exclamation, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Swati Maliwal gave notice to the cyber crime cell of the Delhi Police, seeking action against individuals making derogatory comments.

    "In the said discussion, participants can be heard making vulgar, vulgar, and slanderous comments over ladies and girls, predominantly from the Muslim community," the notice stated.

    The Delhi police identified some male and female participants of the group audio chat as part of the investigation. A notice has been sent to Clubhouse to convey the details of the chatroom and members who were part of it. The police are awaiting a reply from Clubhouse.
