Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory to ensure that the parade goes off without a snag on Republic Day 2023.
Digital Desk: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory to ensure that the parade goes off without a snag on Republic Day 2023. Additionally, it has asked people to call the local police immediately if they see anything or anyone suspicious. According to the alert, people are recommended to plan their travel in advance and give themselves plenty of time to avoid delays.
As per Delhi Traffic Police, the parade for Republic Day 2023 will begin at 10.30 AM in Vijay Chowk and travel to the Red Fort. At 9.30 AM, there will be a related event at India Gate. In order to ensure that the parade is conducted smoothly along its path, "elaborate" traffic arrangements and limitations will be put in place, it tweeted.
On January 25, beginning at 6 p.m., no traffic will be permitted on Kartavya Path between Vijay Chowk and India Gate until the parade is over. There will be no cross traffic on the Kartavya Path from 10 p.m. on January 25 at Rafi Marg, Janpath, and Man Singh Road till the parade is over.
The C Hexagon-India Gate will be closed to vehicular traffic from 9.15 a.m. on January 26 until the march reaches Tilak Marg. On January 26, traffic on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg, and Subhash Marg will be prohibited beginning at 10.30 a.m., and cross traffic will be permitted only along the parade route. The public has been given a list of routes that will assist them avoid traffic.
Park Street/Udyan Marg, R/A Kamla Marg, Pragati Maidan (Bhairon Road), Aram Bagh road (Pahar Ganj), Delhi Sachivalaya (IG Stadium), Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), Mori Gate, ISBT Kashmiri Gate, ISBT Sarai Kale Khan, and Tis Hazari Court would also experience a decline in city bus service.
The National Capital Territory (NCT) jurisdiction of Delhi prohibits the use of unusual aerial platforms. Drivers and general public are urged to follow traffic regulations and rules of the road. In addition, Delhi Traffic Police requested that anyone who saw any unusual people or things call the local police station.
