    Delhi Government facilitate 17 professors under Award for College Lecturers scheme

    Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, presented 17 professors with the 'Award for College Lecturers' on Friday, March 4, 2022. The award includes citation as well as cash prize of Rs lakh. 


    Digital Desk: On Friday, the Delhi government recognized 17 professors for their remarkable contributions to the city's institutions and state universities.

    Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia praised their efforts, saying that professors and professors are the most prominent contributor to the country.

    "The work of our instructors has an impact on millions of lives." Our instructors are laying the groundwork for the future of our country, our youngsters. Our responsibility is to honor the faculty members of our colleges who have contributed to the development of a knowledge-based society in Delhi. Our goal is to change the country via education, and our teachers are helping us achieve that goal by leading the movement..." he explained.

    In 2019, the AAP dispensation introduced the 'Award for College Lecturers' scheme to recognize lecturers' contributions. They are chosen based on comments from students, improved grades, research work, extracurricular activities, and other academic areas. To analyze these factors, evaluation committees are constituted at the college and university levels.

    According to the award guidelines, one lecturer from each of the 28 colleges affiliated with the government-funded university and two lecturers from each of the three state universities will be awarded. The prize includes a citation and a sum of money of Rs 1 lakh.
